The Teaching and Learning Excellence prioritizes early childhood and primary education recognising the fact that the foundation of education is very important. We therefore introduce a project aimed at revolutionizing early childhood education (ECE) and Primary education in Zambia. This initiative focuses on integrating the latest teaching pedagogies with foundational learning, play based learning, and innovative technology, ensuring a dynamic and effective learning environment for young learners.

Our project emphasises foundational learning which encompasses the essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes that form the basis for future academic success. We prioritise literacy, numeracy, socio-emotional development as their importance in shaping well-rounded individuals ready to tackle life’s challenges.

By incorporating play based learning as a fundamental teaching approach, we enable children to explore, discover and develop essential skills in a fun and engaging manner. Through structured and unstructured play, young learners enhance their cognitive social and emotional development while fostering creativity and critical thinking skills.

Additionally we will harness the power of technology to enhance learning outcomes by integrating educational technology tools and resources, we provide opportunities for interactive learning experiences that prepare children for an increasing digital world. Our approach will include the use of tablets, educational apps and online resources to support teaching and learning processes in the classroom.

Through this comprehensive project we aim to create a vibrant educational landscape that prepares young learners for future academic success and fosters a lifelong love for learning. By equipping educators with the skills and resources to implement effective teaching strategies-rooted in foundational learning and play-we see committed to building a solid foundation for the holistic development of children in Zambia
