Transforming Secondary Education For A Sustainable Future

We have a number of programmes committed to transforming secondary education in Zambia by offering Technical support to the lined Ministries and their agencies: closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our targeted initiatives aim to foster an educational environment that empowers students and teachers alike.

KEY FOCUS AREAS AND COLLABORATIONS

  • SDG 4: Quality education: Partnering with the government agencies the programme aims to implement a uniform CPD program across the country for teachers. These programs will focus on innovative pedagogies, understanding the demands of the new curriculum, differentiated learning, social emotional  learning, use of technology in education, Inclusive education, Intervention learning in recognised areas,  Assessment strategies. We also aim to help the Ministry to produce Teaching and learning materials in line with the demands of the 21st century learning demands through the various subject associations.  We would also be focusing on the mental health and wellbeing of teachers and other educators through holistic designed programmes. 
  • SDG2: Zero Hunger: we have project promoting good agricultural practices and nutritional education, addressing food security and promoting healthy lifestyles among students. By connecting education with the real-world issues, we empower students to understand and contribute to sustainable food systems.
  • SDG 3: Good health and well-being: Recognising the importance of mental health, our initiatives includes resources and training for educators and others on creating supportive learning environments. We prioritise the holistic development of students, addressing both their academic and emotional needs.
  • SDG13: Climate Actin: As part of our educational reform, we emphasise environmental stewardship and sustainability. Students are educated on climate change and sustainable practices, equipping them with the knowledge to be proactive advocates for the environment within their communities.
